Mainframe Architect

The position:
AXEN is active in several IT domains like:

What are you doing at this job?

The architect advises the customer regarding software solutions to be developed.
Draw up the logical and technical data model.
Analyse, draw up, document and maintain functional and technical specifications for every information function to be automated.
Test the whole configuration for comprehensiveness, clarity and consistency.
Draw up a plan of approach for converting from the old system to the new system.
Draw up the system test plan. Test an information system in relation to the system plan.
Assist with the implementation of the system.
Assist end users with the acceptance test.

Your profile:

You have a university degree (Master, Civil Engineer…), or you are an industrial engineer in the information technologies field.
You have at least 5 years experience with Mainframe technologies.
Very good knowledge of logical and technical data modeling techniques.
Very good knowledge of at least one design methodology like UML.
Knowledge of the most commonly used development and design tools and instruments.
Languages: COBOL, PL/I, CICS
Databases: DB2, IDBMS
OS : Z/Os, OS/390,…
Mainframe servers : UNISYS or IBM
Scheduler : CA-7, Control-M
You speak English and Dutch or French.
